Vi*sion Board

noun US

a collage of images and words representing a person's wishes or goals, intended to serve as inspiration or motivation.

What is the the purpose of a Vision Board?

A Vision Board is a collage of images and words that you can strategically display in a place where you are likely to see it several times a day. It is there to remind you why you do what you do every day, and to provide clarity on what you really want. It is made up of images and words that spark your motivation and remind you of your goals, values and/or dreams.

I wasn’t sure what to call this post exactly. I’m not sure that there is a such thing as a Mini Vision. I considered using the word specific instead.

However, the feeling that the word, “mini” ellicits inside of me is one of ease; as if the task is small and manageable. As I thought about this, I had to admit that I find so much joy in the creation of a Vision Board, that the size ultimately doesn’t play a huge role.

In fact, I realized that it can feel like a bigger task when the size of a Vision Board is smaller, because it demands even more discernement (less room for images).

I had the pleasure of creating with one of my daughters over the weekend.

This vision board creation was different from the vision board that I created for the year (see blog post, 2021 Vision Board).

My goal for this particular board was focused on vocation and how I want to be and feel in that particular realm.

Hopefully, once we create a Vision Board, we are inspired to begin to take turtle steps in relation to any part of that vision that we do not yet have.

It also helps to inform the universe of what our heart truly desires. I like to think of it as placing our order to the universe.

What have you been creating lately?

Have you ever created a vision board? I would love to hear your experience.

Light and love, dearheart.

Be Well.
