Three very important things

I wrote my very first blog on April 8, 2011. The first blog post was called, “Ask”. The encompassing name I chose to put all of my blogs under was called, Life Lessons. I choose that name because I know that these are my personal experiences.

That is what you will see here, just some of my personal life lessons that may help you too, in some way.

Today I would like to share three things that I believe truly matter.

Be-Honor-Love, yourself.

Be: This means living inside out. It means that you make your choices from the inside. Doing so creates a world of integrity and ease for you. Martha Beck would say that living in integrity means aligning your heart, body, spirit and mind. To do so is simple but because we are conditioned by our culture, it is not always easy.

If this is a way that you would like to be, try this with intention: Think of a decision you have to make and feel one of the options in your body. Where do you feel it? What color is it? How big is it? What shape is it? What does it feel like?

Most importantly, does the feeling you have about moving in a certain direction give you a feeling of peace or a feeling of constriction? Living from the inside out always feel peaceful because you are following your inner compass, the life you are meant to live. When you have a feeling of constriction over a choice, that is most likely due to feeling like you should or have to go a certain direction (cultural conditioning).

Honor: To honor yourself means to always follow your inner compass. It means pausing frequently to ask yourself what you need in the moment. It means taking a breath and feeling into each and every decision you make. It means always making the choice that feels like peace.

Love: This means choosing to share your gifts and to shine your beautiful light so big that people have to practically squint from the brightness of you. The world needs you more than ever right now, don’t wait another second.

What does it look like for you to shine your light?

Where are you holding back?

What is the most loving thing you can do for yourself right now?

What is the most loving thing you can do for the world today?

Do that, Dearheart.

Love and blessing.

Be well, live with intention.
